Albacom Limited, formed as a Management Buy-Out in 1990, can trace its origins back to the Dundee division of Ferranti which was established in 1953 to manufacture TR-cells for the defence industry. Since then Ferranti Dundee and Albacom, a successor company, have supplied products into almost every major UK weapons platform over the last 30 years. These include surface and submarine naval vessels, aircraft, missiles and land-based systems. Albacom has therefore accumulated decades of experience in its core business activities of Microwave, Power Supply and Connector products.

Albacom has established itself as a supplier of choice to major Defence Research Establishments and blue chip Defence Prime Contractors worldwide as a result of its Total Quality Partnership philosophy which infuses all aspects of the business relationship from project definition and design, prototyping and series production through to after-sales support for the duration of the in-service life of the product. This means the ability to satisfy the demand of a 20 year programme with after-sales service and support to customers in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania.
