Multi-Function Colour Displays and Multi-Function Keyboards

The Saab Avitronics family of high performance active matrix LCD colour display systems include Multi-Function Colour Displays and Multi-Function keyboards that can be configured according to customer requirements. 

DESCRIPTION

The Multi-Function Colour Display (MFCD) is built around a 5 inch diagonal, full colour, active matrix display (AMLCD). The display bezel hosts the custom function keys as well as the brightness and control MMI requirements. The display modes include alphanumeric characters, symbology and graphics. The MFCD is provided with on-board programming capabilities and Built-in-Test with a watchdog control.

Advanced Thin Film Transistor (TFT) AMLCD technology was selected to enhance the visual quality of the display and greater utilization of colour and graphics. The display technology provides high brightness, excellent contrast, and reduced volume with low power consumption. 

Software design enables user definable font-set and symbol characters including special bitmap symbols that can be down loaded via the external connector.
