SaviTagTM ST-614, Low Cost Asset Tag, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Related Wireless Solutions for the Management and Security of Supply Chain Assets, Shipments and Consignments

The SaviTag ST-614 is the premiere model in a family of low cost asset tags. The SaviTag ST-614 is an active RFID tag with a unique design that allows for locating, tracking and managing medium to high value assets in both defense and commercial applications. The SaviTag ST-614 is specifically tailored for tracking assets by creating a relationship between an asset identification number and a tag number. In a typical asset tagging procedure, an RFID tag is commissioned in the field with the tag already mounted to an asset. The process can be conducted with a handheld RFID reader or other RF reader and only needs to be done once for a given asset.

Subsequent updates to the tag, adding configuration or maintenance data, are also executed in the field. To save cost, the SaviTag ST-614 does not include any connectors or ports for writing to the tag with docking stations. Instead, all tag writes are managed over the UHF wireless link.
