Founded in 1979, ASD won its first government contract in 1980 with the Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Then in 1982, the firm was approved by the Small Business Administration to the 8(a) program, graduating in 1992 and transitioning to a fully competitive company at the beginning of fiscal year 1996.

Under our 10-year CIMS contract, ASD provides extensive IT Enterprise support to the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command and to Missile Defense Agency. ASD supports the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) components. ASD provides support to the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) in the area of eBusiness which provides portfolio management to the entire Acquisition Corps.
