Based in MEAUX in the Paris region, Mr RenĂ© LEGUEU, modifies mass-produced vehicles, by adding a transfer box of his own design and improving the rear axles.  
 
This led to the creation of the VCOM (Overseas Combat Vehicle), it was approved by the French Army and assigned to a military customer: the 13th DBLE at DJIBOUTI and whom received 193 units between 1963 and 1964.
