Ballistic Body Armour (Pty) Ltd was formed in 1986 to supply body armour to Military, Paramilitary and security forces.

South Africa proved to be an excellent testing ground for ballistic product in the late 1980’s with the local proliferation of weapons (particularly the AK-47 and the increasing levels of violence.
