Test and Evaluation (T&E) has been the subject of extensive discussion over the years. Engineers and managers have spent significant time and money to manage the complexity of T&E, however it still remains a challenge.
Ministry of Defence (MoD) is constantly reviewing their T&E process in order to better identify areas of risk to be reduced. T&E process is a constant cycle, given the reality that each capability system has a life cycle. With the growing and changing threats in the world today, it is necessary for MoD to constantly acquire technological gains in defence.
Acquisition of new capabilities, however, is often challenging as engineers have to ensure the integration of new system with existing capabilities. Operational T&E (OTE) process will help to test the system to ensure its effectiveness, operability and survivability in current operating environment. Engineers and managers have to determine the level of operational testing that will provide sufficient assurance that the risk will be mitigated to an acceptable level.
The 3-day training course will discuss on the critical fundamentals of OTE to ensure effectiveness of process. Trainer will also be discussing on the OTE roadmap which include test planning, resources allocation, procedures and techniques of OTE testing. This course is planned to bridge the gap between T&E theory and its practicality, as well as techniques/strategies to manage issues in T&E process.
The course will also help participants to appreciate the different T&E structure and processes in different countries. Participants will learn effective analysis reporting to generate an independent recommendation on operational effectiveness and suitability to their MoD.
