HDW

Essentially, the group comprises Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft and HDW-Gaarden in Kiel, Nobiskrug in Rendsburg, Blohm + Voss und Blohm + Voss Repair in Hamburg, Nordseewerke in Emden, as well as Kockums in Sweden and Hellenic Shipyards in Greece. As 75-percent stockholder, ThyssenKrupp has assumed industrial management of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, One Equity Partners (OEP) owning the remaining 25-percent stake.

HDW currently employes around 2400 staff. Since January 2005, the Kiel-based company Howaldswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH has been part of the ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems shipbuilding group.

The headquarters of the shipbuilding group is in Hamburg. Other operating locations are Emden, Rendsburg, Karlskrona and Malmö (Sweden), and Scaramanga (Greece).
