JDR Cable Systems has developed manufacturing facilities to produce a wide range of products, from cutting edge small diameter, high performance specialist Defence cables to 8 1/2" [215 mm] diameter multi-function, armored umbilicals. Our ability to manufacture high pressure hose and cable products, in house, from base materials, gives us maximized control of our production process.

JDR Cable Systems is equipped with state of the art production equipment capable of producing precision extruded, braided and armored cable and umbilical products. Our cable and umbilical twisting equipment can provide helical lay-up of umbilical and cable up to 10 km in length, depending on diameter and weight. Extrusion lines are equipped with laser diameter gauges and ultrasound wall thickness monitors; computer controlled with real time SPC. Our armoring facilities are among the best in the world, and can produce packages up to 108 wires for highly dynamic applications.

Plants, equipment and procedures have been specifically developed to ensure compliance with International Standards including, ISO13528-5 (API 17E), SAE, LRS, DNV, ABS and NATO.
